The main character, a young girl named Kik Lannigan, became a victim of kidnappers as a child, from whose hands FBI agent Frank Novak rescued her. Since then, Kik has suffered from serious psychological trauma and for 15 years has done everything to never become a victim again: he is engaged in martial arts and learns to handle weapons. Lannigan’s savior, Agent Novak, invites her to become part of the new FBI unit he creates to investigate the most intricate cases of missing people.
